Starting my cybersecurity journey has felt like stepping into a whole new world—one full of curiosity, challenge, and that spark of excitement you get when something just clicks. I didn't come in knowing everything. I came in with interest, energy, and the feeling that this field had something big to offer me. And honestly, that feeling has only grown stronger.
Joining ReDI School
Joining the ReDI Cybersecurity course was the moment everything started to take shape. The course didn't just teach us concepts—it opened doors. We explored different areas of cybersecurity, learned how the pieces fit together, and got hands‑on with real tools. One of the most exciting parts was being encouraged to learn through TryHackMe. It wasn't just reading or listening; it was doing. Solving challenges, experimenting, breaking things (in a safe way), and understanding how attacks actually work.
The TryHackMe Assessment
As part of that learning, I took a TryHackMe test designed to help us discover which cybersecurity role might suit our interests. It wasn't a formal exam—more like a fun, interactive way to see what direction we naturally lean toward. My result came back as Pentester / Red Team, and I can't lie, that result lit me up. It matched everything I found myself drawn to during the course: creative problem‑solving, thinking like an attacker, and uncovering weaknesses so they can be fixed.
Only the Beginning
The whole experience—from starting the course to diving into TryHackMe—made me realize that cybersecurity isn't just something I want to learn. It's something I'm genuinely excited to grow into. And this is only the beginning.
